ARRIVAL TIME: Arrive a few minutes before 9am. I'll be there at 8:45am. Class starts at 9am sharp. There will be short breaks every hour, plus a half-hour lunch is at 12pm. The class will end by 3pm each day.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE: Coffee and tea will be provided. Lunch is on your own. There will be a half-hour lunch as 12pm. Please pack a lunch. You are welcome to eat your lunch in the classroom or have food delivered to the class. Fare Start Cafe is located in the 2100 Building (close on holidays). See the Fare Start Cafe Menu here.
WHAT ELSE TO BRING: For all classes, I will provide a comprehensive workbook. Please bring a pen or pencil. For day two of Comprehensive Grantwriting, you must bring a laptop or pad of paper and pen. It is also helpful to bring past grants written by your organization or other reference materials that describe your organization and services. For all classes, you will receive digital templates of all the tools that I demonstrate at the training.
WIFI:There is free WIFI at The 2100 Building.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS AND PARKING: The 2100 Building is located on 24th Avenue South between South Hill and South Walker St. It is one block east of Rainier Avenue South, in the same neighborhood as Remo Borracchini’s Bakery and Mutual Fish. There is a street-level garage accessed through the alley. There is also parking in the fenced area across the street from the building next to the pharmacy. Between the garage and fenced lot, there is ample free parking to be found. If you end up parking on the street for any reason, there is a two-hour time limit, so please plan to move your car during one of the breaks.
SPREAD THE WORD: There are still seats available and a good class size contributes greatly to the sharing of knowledge and energy of the class. Also, if you are on Facebook, you can mark yourself as attending the event and share! You may also want to join our networking community for those who have signed up for a class or who are alumni.
SELF CARE: We will be covering a lot of material. Please get a good night's sleep and be ready to engage in this learning opportunity. If you are sick, please know that you can attend a future class rather than coming to class.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If for any reason you cannot attend class, you are welcome to transfer your registration to a future class or to a colleague/friend. Just send an email to me at Allison@sparkthefiregrantwriting.com to let me know which future class you would like to attend or to whom you are transferring the registration. There is no charge the first time you need to transfer to another class, but if you need to transfer again after that, there is a $20 charge that covers my cost in printing and preparation.
