The 26th Annual AFP Washington, Washington Chapter National Philanthropy Day Luncheon is held each Novembe to celebrate exceptional philanthropy among individuals and organizations in our communities. Spark the Fire Grantwriting Seminar is a highly rated intensive grantwriting class to inspire nonprofit grantwriters to take their grantwriting to the next level. Participants learn to weave a golden thread through the proposal that connects the need in the community to the work being proposed resulting in a higher return, happier grantmakers, and stronger nonprofits.

This 5-hour seminar will teach participants how to write a compelling grant proposal, research new prospects, and build stronger relationships with grantmakers.

Participants will receive a comprehensive handbook and CD with digital templates. Receive a list of foundations that provide general operating support, examples of successful grant applications and letters of interest, templates for grants calendars, budget, grant attachments, and more.

Cost is $75 per person.

This class is an accredited Certified Fund Raising Executives (CFRE) class. Full participation in the Spark the Fire Grantwriting Seminar is applicable for 5.0 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.

Space is limited. 12 individuals must register for this class to take place. Classes usually sell out. Please provide 48 hours notice of cancellation to receive a refund for class fees.
